Most of the linden trees are believed to have been planted in 1622 during the construction of the Church of the Nativity of Mary, with the thickest one planted even earlier. With a circumference of 810 cm, it is known as the thickest linden tree in the Dolenjska region and ranks among the 15 thickest linden trees in Slovenia.

A monument erected by the Trška Gora Winemakers’ Association at the top of the hill in memory of Lojze Slak, one of the most beloved Slovenian musicians.

Hmeljnik Castle, boasting a long and fascinating history, is one of the oldest castles in Slovenia. It was built in the 12th century and is said to have gotten its name from the lush hops that once grew in the area. Today, it endures as a ruin with the status of a cultural monument of national importance.

A cultural monument of national significance, it is considered one of the most picturesque and romantic castles in Slovenia. It lies on a small island in the middle of the Krka River and, with its unique location and rich history, attracts numerous visitors.

The castle rising above the Lešnica Valley was first mentioned in 1300, when it was built by the Patriarchs of Aquileia as their easternmost stronghold. Today, it is owned by the Krka pharmaceutical company.
