Trška gora cycling route

The cycling route is considered moderately demanding, as it includes an ascent to the top of Trška Gora (418 meters above sea level). Although the route is not long, the numerous climbs require a certain level of cycling endurance—which can be significantly eased by using an electric bike (rental options available). You can park at Supernova Novo mesto and start your ride along the Krka River toward the village of Otočec, where the climb to Trška Gora begins, offering stunning views of the Old Castle (Stari grad).

The route then continues along the ridge toward Hmeljnik Castle, where you turn back and return through the villages of Srednje Grčevje, Paha, and Herinja vas. After that, you descend back toward the Krka River and cycle alongside it all the way back to Novo mesto.
