The Princess’s Bench

The Princess’s Bench at the top of Trška Gora is more than just a popular resting spot for hikers—it’s a symbol of respect for Dolenjska’s winegrowing tradition and the women who have shaped it. The bench was installed in honour of the first Cviček Princess, who played a key role in promoting Cviček wine and the culture of the Dolenjska Region. It was created through the joint efforts of the Trška Gora Winegrowers’ Association, the Trškogorsko Srce Tourism and Culture Association, and the 17th Cviček Princess.

Set on one of Trška Gora’s most stunning viewpoints, the bench offers breathtaking views of the rolling Dolenjska landscape, dotted with vineyards and traditional vineyard cottages. A poetic verse speaks to the visitors: “This bench invites your heart not to forget, and when you return to this hill once more, your heart will be entwined among the vineyards.”
