Two Stone Benches of Trška Gora

At the entrance to Trška Gora, near the landscaped park of the Grm Novo Mesto estate, two stone benches mark the starting point. They invite you to pause, sit, and enjoy the breathtaking view of the vineyards and the church perched on the top of the hill. Made from local Dolenjska limestone, the benches were crafted with deep respect for tradition and a strong sense of artistic expression by the skilled hands of members of the Skulpte Stone Artists Association.

A vine, carved into the stone, winds gracefully across the surface—embracing the bench just as Trška Gora embraces all who take the time to pause and surrender to its quiet beauty.

Founded in 2017, the Skulpte Association of Stone Artists is dedicated to promoting Slovenian stone through their creative work, with a special emphasis on limestone from the Dolenjska region.
